I can't do more than one turn - and that's if I'm lucky! How are some people able to do multiple spins?

I read somewhere that if you can do 16 relieves perfectly in center then you are strong enough - is this true?

Should I approach my teacher and ask to start pointe, or should she approach me when she thinks I'm ready?
Thanks! ;)

I want to go on pointe one day but I'm not sure if my feet will be a problem. I have long, tapered toes and my second toe is longer than all the others.
Would I be able to go onto pointe with this type of foot? (This is only a question about foot shape, I understand the whole issue of strength and all that)

Does anyone know of any excersises that would help me get higher leg lifts?
I'm just over 90 degrees in my right leg and about 90 degrees in my left. I've seen girls who have such nice high extensions and I'm getting a little frustrated. I don't want to bulk up my legs by practicing them constantly, but how else will I get better? Any tips?
Thanks! :)

I have always loved to dance. Recently, though a series of events, I was inspired to finally seek formal training. I'm just getting started, but already ballet is my life.
I just turned 15, and I have a terrible feeling that it is too late. Please be honest. Realistically, is it too late to plan on having a career in ballet?

Now you can store and share all your precious ballet photos on balletinfo.com. I have just finished adding the ability for ballet info readers to create unlimited photo albums and share them online. It works really well with myspace. Check it out.

Did I mention it is free.
