Should I Lose Weight?

So I’m about 5′4″ and i weigh about 120 lbs. My friend looks about my same weight, yet weighs 100 lbs. I have alot of muscle, which may make me weigh more than her, but i feel i still need to lose weight.

Since we look the same (we are both pretty thin but not like extremely thin) If i lost 20 lbs do you think I might look very underweight (the lowest average is 108 for my height)? There are people who tell me I’m thin enough already, then there have been about 2 people in my life who have never thought I should lose some weight.

I actually think I’m very nice looking from a side view, yet from the front I’m rather wide, and I have broad shoulders. I wear medium leotards, and some are to big but fit ok. Most people I know wear petites and they are the same size as me, which confuses me.

I want to improve!

hey. I am 15 and I have been dancing since I was three years old, and it seems like I have been improving a little, but most of my friends are better than me… I really want to improve and like be the best in the class! haha..

any tips??

Do I have the right body for ballet modeling

Hi,
I want to model but I don’t think I have the body, I’m 5′1 and slim. do all of you think I will still be able to model? Am I to short? I have a really nice arch and I’m on pointe. I’m 13 well just turned 13 three weeks ago. But any way do you think I could be hired to do Ballet modeling? does any body know of any websites that I could model for? I now one other person on this website wanted modeling help to but she shounds like she has a really good dance body In which I don’t think I have. But any way if you somebody could please help me I would really like that thanks. Oh, one more thing do you get paid? The other girl asked that but nobody have anwered that. Ok what I kind want to is pointe shoe modeling and costumes modeling.

Male wants to begin ballet

Hello, I am a 35 y/o male who has always wanted to take ballet. But because of my weight I have always been reluctant. I have lost the weight but am worried that being an older male I will not fit in. Can an older male start ballet? I would really like your opinions on this question.

I am a girl that loves ballet to bits, I cant get enough of watching effortless people fly around stage. I would do anything to be them and be able to be as good. The only thing is im 15 yrs old! I cant find any ballet place around me that will teach my age and the fact I am a complete novice. But I still dream I could one day be as good. I just keep wishing I’d wanted to be one when I was 5 yrs younger!

Apart from that I’m a very good weight and I’m 5 foot 4 inches and I have very strong athletic legs and I have quite good balance. I have read so many books but i feel its not enough. Do you think i should get private lessons? but then i would have to pay for it on my own

please someone help me i want to be a prfessional dancer, do you think im too old now???

Vaganova Schools

Hi, I’m looking for a summer program that teaches the Vaganova tradition. I know of the Kirov and B.I.M and Bossov. Does any body know of any other schools that teach Vaganova? Does any body know about the Bossov? I want to learn more about it. Is it a good summer program?

Breaking In Gamba Pointe Shoes

Help!!!!! I’ve got a new pair of Gamba 97 pointe shoes. I need to break it down quickly as I have a ballet assesment next Friday!!!

i want it so bad

Im 14 and have just started ballet . My teacher put me into grade 4 an i really enjoy it but i dnt feel asthough I am as good as the others in my class.I’m desperate to be en pointe and my ankles are very strong as I have been dancing since I was eight but I dont want to be the one of the girls who goes on pointe really late. If my birthday is in October do you reckon i will be en ponte by the time Im 15? I’m also very small im only 4′9 ish but I weigh about 8 stone, will this stop me from going en pointe ?

too old to start ballet??

Im 15 and I really love to dance I have done loads of stlyes but have always kept away from ballet I’m not sure why , I just have. Now Im doing contempory I really love it and want to take this further after school. I know the next sensible thing is to start ballet as well, as it can only imporve my dancing but do you think 15 is to late?

Modeling Help

Ok, I’m dying simply dying to do Modeling like in Pointe Magazine any kind of Modeling that is, I would want it to be ballet of course. I’m on pointe and have a really high arch and I have a really good ballet body, I don’t mean sound like I am braging.
I have searched the internet millions of times but I can never find any websites were I can model for like, Costume Gallery and Russion pointes and Prima Soft and many more but none of them say anything for modeling. Can someone help me on trying to find some websites. I really could use the help.
