4 Classes A Week

I’m an Intermediate student (ISTD) and I’m currently going for 4 lessons a week. Personally, I think 2/3 classes a week is enough but my teacher insisted that if I don’t take 4 classes a week, I won’t pass my intermediate exam. I’m not the only one who need to go 4 lessons a week, my friends also go for 4 lessons a week because my teacher says so. Is it really necessary?

Continue Ballet

Hi,
I stopped dancing ballet when I was 12. That time I was in grade 8 and was starting on pointe.
Do you think it is possible for me to continue ballet after I have stopped for 6 years? If yes, then which grade do you think is suitable?

One more question that I am curious about: Can one learn pointe without a teacher, but books and videos?

BLUE TOES !

I have been getting very bruised toes and toe nails from ballet. The thing is I’m NOT even on pointe yet. Should I try padding my shoes? I remember a girl once put folded handee towls in her shoes. Would that work ?

What do you all think of having both blog and forum?

Ive said before in some of my posts that I prefer the forum, but still keep coming back to check the blogs because some people still write on here. (And I dont want to miss anything!)
What do you think of having both on here? I find it a bit frustrating that I have to check both, and I think it would seem more streamlined if there was just the forum, and all these old posts got transferred to the forum. I have read though, that some of you dont like the forum.
Just wondering what you all think of this?

hi, I am 14 years old and I am starting ballet soon, and I want to do well but I am very inflexible, mainly my legs – I can’t do the splits, I can hardly get my legs past a 90 degree angle. If anyone has any streches I can do so I can do the splits I would really apreciate it!! thank you. libi
