Lea, without knowing you and your talents and passions I can't say what the right choice is for you. either way it will take a lot of hard work and dedication. the only absolute advice I have is that if you choose one and your whole heart is not in it, you will be miserable or won't make it. and if you have not already done so talk to your advisor or a teacher at school and your ballet teacher. they will have some idea what it would take for each path and how you are doing on that path.
sorry I can't be of much help.

Hi Ashley
First of all, relax. your teacher wouldn't be moving you up if your weren't ready. you may not know exacly what you are doing at first, but after you become familiar with the work it will be easier. if you are worried about learning the work fast enough, you could ask your teacher if you can copy their book so you can work at memorizing the work at home.
Good Luck, you'll do fine.

Those photos of you are beautiful, I love that tutu. I live in Brisbane, Australia, I'm 18 and awaiting an approval or rejection for a loan to get into college (which i've already been accepted in to). After christmas holidays I will be going into an advanced 1 class which i'm a little nervous about and getting more so each day, I did one class in advanced 1 last year and it was quite intimidating because everyone else knew what they were doing, if you have any tips that would be appreciated. Good luck with uni, my sister is doing something similar so I know how hard it is

Hi fellow dancers
Sharon, I would prefer to comunicate through the website. I will continue to moniter coments here and respond to them.
serena, aside from always going to class, do lots of rises and releves, using the back of a chair or counter top as a barre, unless you happen to have a barre. also, continue to work on all your technique.

happy dancing, Marissa

You looked beautiful in the photo. I found your story very inspiring. My life story is the other way round compare to you. But I tell you, in a medical world, there's very little people like you & me :). Would it be alright if I email you & hope to get some advice from you? what's your email? mine is sharon_h_wu@yahoo.com.
Besh wishes.
