you should do a floor barre, do abdominals and leg darts too, they are all on the floor, you can do pilates that focus on floor exercises, and yoga. floor barre is basically leg lifting and developes on the floor, the key thing is to keep your lower back against the floor no matter what, and you can get pretty creative with a floor barre routine,

I recommend that you see a chiropractor who works with dancers and athletes. You need to get control of the inflammation, and also find out why your achilles are getting so inflamed. It is probably related to something you are doing that your teacher may not have spotted. A chiropractor can help you figure out the mechanical strain that is going on, even without knowing ballet. In other words, what is the correct use of the foot/ankle area if you are not an athlete? And how do athletes/dancers alter that?
Icing at least 3-4 times a day, 15 minutes each time will help a lot. But you need professional help, as this condition will not get better without some change in the way you are working.
All the best with this, Dianne

I agree with Roxy, I use Flexers by Bunheads and I love them!! I have also heard fellow dancers talking about 100% elastic ribbon. It is shiny and looks like ribbon but is flexible elastic. I heard it is great for tendinitis. Good Luck!

I suggest you go see a doctor who works specifically with dancers, or used to be a dancer. MY friend damaged a tendon in her hip, so my dance teacher suggested some doctor who knew all about dancers and what they do. IF you just go to some random doctor, than they’re not going to help you properly.
