Discover the Secrets to Conquering Some of The Most Common Pitfalls You Face When Learning Ballet
4 Classes A WeekI’m an Intermediate student (ISTD) and I’m currently going for 4 lessons a week. Personally, I think 2/3 classes a week is enough but my teacher insisted that if I don’t take 4 classes a week, I won’t pass my intermediate exam. I’m not the only one who need to go 4 lessons a week, my friends also go for 4 lessons a week because my teacher says so. Is it really necessary? I’m not really familiar with the ISTD ballet sylabus, but I’ve heard it’s similar to RAD. I’m guessing you not only want to pass your exam, but would like to do well. in order to that you have to be able to do all your work nearly perfectly on a normal day, so that on the day of your exam, when you are nervous, you will still be able to do everything well. I know that I always needed to be able to do everything in my sleep in order to be able to pass my exams.
so you should be taking as many classes as you can and practicing outside of class.

the question i ask is, are you really serious about ballet? do you want to become a professional, or are you doin it for fun? im at an intermidiate lvl and i take six classes a week
for about 3 hours each. if you really want to dance then yes four clases is nessesary but if your going for fun, its up to you.
