Leather versus Canvas: what’s the difference? Is one better than the other?

  1. Leather is not as good as canvas becasue it does not show your arch off and they are harder to turn in.
    Canvas is a great shoe if you have a high arc like me it well really show it off and they are much easier to turn in.

  3. I think its personal preferance. I have both canvas and leather and prefer leather. At my class we have to wear leather so there isnt much room for thought. After dancing in leather i must say i find it easier to do so rather than canvas.

  4. Leather lasts longer but they always get brown
    marks on them
    i havent tried canvas but dont buy silk only for shows it wears out in like half a term!

  5. Leather is better because it fits like a glove and supports your feet. Canvas tends to wear holes in the toes.

  6. i feel that leather is a much better option for a ballet shoe. canvas does not stretch as well and gets much dirtier, as it does not repel the dirt that leather does. canvas is also harder to clean.

  7. I like leather much better because it’s more comfortable. people say leather dosen’t wear out as quickly but it really depends on the brand.

  9. Leather lasts longer, but it’s not very flexible, and it sort of sticks to and squeaks on the floor.
    Canvas may not last as long, but it’s cheaper. It’s a lot more flexible and comfortable, and it shows off your arch.

    I’ve used both kinds and I definitely prefer canvas!!!

  10. If you dance on marley floors it’s better to wear leather, and if you dance on hardwood floors, canvas is better.
