I want to improve!

hey. I am 15 and I have been dancing since I was three years old, and it seems like I have been improving a little, but most of my friends are better than me… I really want to improve and like be the best in the class! haha..

any tips??

  1. Hmm, I would try private lessons or maybe you sould change schools. If I were you I’d get the Ballet Bible.

  2. Practice lots. Stretch before class and in between exercises. Always warm up before class. Start each exercise with good posture and make sure you don’t lose your posture part of the way through. Your teacher can’t watch everyone in the class at the same time, so when they give a correction to anyone you should check yourself to see if you also need to make that correction. Also, after your next class, you should ask your teacher if there is anything on particular you need to work on. You should also consider taking more classes or getting private lessons. One more thing to remember is that ballet is an art form. If you practice performing with your upper body and face you will seem like a better dancer.
    I hope this all helps, I felt the same way when I was your age.
