Strengthening AnklesI’m going to go on pointe soon but my teacher said I have to strengthen my ankles first. What are some good excercises/products that can strengthen my ankles? Hi
The most simple but effective exercises are rises and releves.
Start with rises in first (nice and slow). Progress to second, 4th and fifth. Then try placing one foot in the cou de pied position and do the rises on one leg. Also try this without any support and see how long you can hold the position.
Also try holding releves devant and derriere with and without support. This will help strengthen your ankles, calves, thighs and your centre of balance will also improve.

The best things to do to strengthen your ankles are relves and rises, do loads in each position every day and you’ll have stronger ankles in no time.
