I believe you're never too old as long as you have had a good training at a young age. I trained at the Urdang Academy in the eighties, I'm now 42 and although I don't dance professionally anymore I still do class and believe my dancing is still at a decent level. Like yourself, I have had long absences from dancing.

Dear "Old" Anonymous,

Congrats for wanting to again be a part of the world of dance!
I have good news a bad news. The bad news is: it's very unrealistic to become a professional dancer after a certain age. However, might I say it's NEVER too late to take ballet again! If you want to dance again, go out and find a good studio with adult classes (and if you want to go en pointe, you could always join the younger girls or request private lessons), and dance away! And since it seems you're still fairly limber from all that earlier dancing, starting up again should be no problem!

Dance on, and good luck,
Meredith
