  1. The ballet bible is a downloadable information pack which is extremely helpful to today’s ballerinas! It is cool because it has everything you need to know about ballet as well as how to pronounce each word and what that word means. Helpul videos come in the ballet bible so you can watch them and follow them and know how to do movements correctly. It is definately worth investing in if you aren’t the best ballerina you could possibly be

  2. Hi,
I agree with Ashley, it is worth it’s money!
What I especially like about it, is the way it shows the right way to do things, but also common mistakes.
It was the first “manual” I bought when I started dancing again and it really helped me to re-think things that happened in class.

  3. I am just wondering but why is it called Ballet Bible? Because i go to church and everything and that seems almost like a put down to the Holy Bible. so i’m just wondering why it’s called that.

  4. It is definitely not a put down to the Holy Bible. It is merely a play on words. It’s meant to convey that this guide has everything you need to know to be proficient in ballet. It’s two B words. It’s catchy.

The word bible actually means something like ‘a highly detailed book, regarded as an authority’. Its only because we most commonly use it in relation to the Christian Bible that it is known as just that.
So the Ballet bible is just a highly detailed and authorative guide on Ballet. :)

  7. I recommend the Ballet Bible, which you can get through theballetstore.com. I was in the professional ballet world for many years, and while there a couple of things I disagree with, it is an incredibly detailed compilation of ballet history, technical points, and has some good photos for reference. Any advice in it can be discussed with your own teacher, for clarification and supervision. For the price, it is a lot of content! Go for it.
