Good morning,
I will answer your question in a “provocative” manner.
Will you or not do something to have your legs become more flexible ?
If yes, they will, no boubt. Regular and correct ballet practising will help this a lot. Off course, this will not occur tomorrow morning ! I mean, if you do things as they have to be done, are patient and keep away from beeing discouraged, then results will come.

dansephoto is right – if you work hard your legs will get more flexi.
You can also do things at home to improve flexibility.
http://www.dance.net has a FABULOUS stretching and strengthening forum. it’s helped me so much!
Flexibility isn’t everything though, you need to be strong too so that you can hold your dazzling poses. keep up the good work!

if you really want your felxibity improved as quickly as possible i sugest that you practice your splits on each legfor 16 counts every day but make sure you are warm so you dont hurt yourself.
Good luck

Sure, just practise lots, in a variety of ways, and in addition to training. If you only train in class, you’ll at most, progress as fast as other people, and if you’re not naturally talented, probably the lower half.
These forums posted are good. Also read htt://www.dragondoor.com Good for martial arts and dance active flex.

Some people find it harder to become more flexible than others therefore requiring a lot more stretching. Stretch everyday, twice a day if possible and don’t lose sight of your goal
